RIP Antonio Carluccio OBE
The Godfather of Italian Cuisine passed away today. Probably best known for his TV series 'Two Greedy Italians", in which he travelled through Italy with Ginnaro Contaro squabbling about the history of Italian food.
I might not have bothered to make mention of his passing if i had'nt had the privilege of tasting a cup of his his Espresso......a typical English summer day....pouring with rain, i met up with with my cousin Alan at Carluccios, just a few hundred yards from Lords........Simply the Best Cup of Coffee i have ever had!. The cricket was ordinary but the first thing i did when I did when i got home was get online and order a couple of bags of Carluccios espresso beans....Good Beans !
