Wonky Veg are People Too......!
Here at Rosehill Farm we are pretty used to wonky......from a dodgy roof to prehistoric electrics.....some of the inhabitants are a bit on the wonk as well (I'm referring to my back after building the Log Store)....so it should come as no surprise that we support Wonky Veg.
They taste just the same , are nutritionally identical, they cost less and by the time you've chopped them up you can't tell the difference. They have character!....and who does'nt love a rude carrot. or a kinky cucumber
If we don't buy them a lot of them will go to landfill. A couple of years ago one farm in Norfolk admitted to dumping 10 tons of 'Imperfect' Veg a week because they did'nt meet supermarket standards.......and that Just the Tip of the Iceberg....Pause for collective groan. Fortunately now most of the big stores have a Wonky Veg range....Look out for Wonky Veg....and BUY THEM!
